About Me

roldo: Being a certified Psychedelic survivor my urge to make lines on paper naturally anti-gravitated to the Underground comix of my youth. Being a considerable distance, and that North, of the then thriving scene I mostly drew for my own amusement until 1980 when circumstances landed me, however briefly, in California and the company of the artists who'd inspired me. There followed a period of intense cartoonery which produced most of the work presented here. But the scene was fading and by the '90s my creative urge shifted back to my music and writing - not that I stopped drawing entirely. I enjoy it far too much for that to ever happen.
